When architects Woods Bagot were invited by developers Grosvenor Stowe to rebrand a prominent Oxford Street building, the practice chose Crittall Windows as a replacement for the existing outdated profiles.

The project involved substantial remodelling of both the interior and exterior of the building, which is located opposite the world renowned Selfridges store. For the windows, Crittall supplied its Corporate 2000 steel profiles to replace all the windows in the building. This range offers the dual benefits of strength and aesthetic appeal , with the appearance of the profiles minimising the intrusion of mullions and transoms without detracting from the original traditional appearance of the architecture. This emphasis upon glass as a key and prominent feature in the external appearance of the building matches the interior, where the architects commissioned a dramatic art glass installation as the backdrop to the reception area, a design concept that creates an immediate and eye-catching focal point on entrance to the building.

As the building is in such a predominant position, along one of the worlds busies thoroughfares, careful detail was placed on the acoustic performance of the windows. Crittall's steel profiles easily met the criteria demanded by the architects and Westminster Council to minimise the ingress of noise from the busy streets below.
