During January - April this year, Crittall Windows undertook the massive project of relocating its headquarters and factory, from Springwood Drive, Braintree, to Francis House, in Witham.
Francis House provides 65,000 sq ft of factory space, and 14,000 sq ft of brand new, air-conditioned office space.
The project included:
- re-laying the factory floor,
- providing a flexible electrical distribution system for the factory,
- relocating all of our factory plant and machinery
- reconfiguring our polyester powder coating plant
- converting a warehouse into a two storey office building,
- creating a new main entrance,
- manufacturing and installing windows for the offices and entrance,
- installing a communications and IT infrastructure
This was all achieved within 14 weeks of exchanging contracts on the new premises.
The move to Francis House has provided us with the opportunity to improve the layout of our plant and machinery, improve internal and external communications, which will increase efficiency, and responsiveness to our customers, and partners.
