Crittall supply windows to the historic Essex village of Silver End
Crittall Windows has secured a contract worth nearly £1m to install Homelight double glazed windows in the village of Silver End as part of the Governments Decent Homes programme. Working with Connaught Plc, Crittall will be replacing original single glazed steel windows with new Part L complaint double glazed, powder coated and weatherstripped Homelight windows.
The historic village of Silver End has long standing ties with Crittall dating back to the 1920's when Francis Henry Crittall created the village to house employees of the business. Many of the properties built by Crittall are of significant architectural merit and are subject to either a conservation order or listing to preserve the original Art Deco street scenes.
Crittall has also made a significant donation to the community fund which is used to benefit local organisations and improvements to amenities
Crittall Homelight double glazed steel windows are the ideal choice to replace single glazed steel windows, improving thermal efficiency by up to 500% compared to the original single glazed frames.
