Crittall Bursary for Three Town Art Trail
17 March 2010
The Three Town Art Trail is to build on last years' successful Braintree Art Trail and the Crittall Bursary is also available.
Building on the success of the first Braintree Art Trail in
2009, this year's trail is expanding to take in all three major
towns in the Braintree District, with art on show in Halstead and
Witham as well as Braintree itself.
Artists with local connections are invited to submit proposals for
new or existing works to be exhibited in the 'Three Town Trail'. We
welcome artwork in all mediums, from photography to sculpture,
painting to textile and are particularly interested in work which
responds to the urban landscape, celebrating the rich heritage of
the built environment in this part of Essex.
In addition, the annual Crittall bursary of £500 is available for an artist to make a new site specific work which directly responds to the Crittall heritage in the district. This years successful applicant will have their work showcased in a Witham venue during the trail in recognition of the company's headquarters in the town.
