Full of character and charm, The Old Rectory is a superb example of a Victorian villa in East Sussex, which features several outbuildings and stables that have been beautifully integrated into the main house. The owners have project-managed the building’s original dilapidated shell, transforming it into a truly magnificent home. Lightfoot Windows (Kent) Ltd worked carefully with the owners to install two stunning Crittall screens; one external and one internal.

The external screen perfectly complements the industrial, yet elegant, kitchen and dining area. Solid, polished, concrete floors, and a chic collection of antiques and exquisite furnishings, blend seamlessly with the classic architectural features of the Crittall screen.

Thanks to the design and bar layout of the Crittall screen, the family has a magnificent, uncompromised, view of the garden; each pane of glass framing a different picture postcard section of the amazing garden.

The Crittall internal screen is incorporated in a bespoke ’pod’ design studio for the client’s successful jewelry-making business. The pod has been carefully erected inside the original stable block, and the elegant Crittall doors allow the client to close off her work, while still being near the family.

The project reflects Crittall’s long heritage in quality and design and unrivalled reputation in the marketplace.
