Crittall Windows recently took part in a Dementia Friends workshop. The workshops, created by the Alzheimer’s Society, are aimed to educate people on Dementia. Focusing on how you can make a person with Dementias life easier, and to understand more about the disease.

Jade Anderson, a Dementia Friends Champion, held 2 workshops in the Crittall office where 20 employees attended. The workshops were interactive and educational, offering advice and guidance on the disease and the person behind it.

Crittall are proud to be Dementia friendly, with 15 people signing up to become Dementia Friends. By signing up, you must pledge an action – small or large – to help the cause. These actions can be anything from wearing the badge to volunteering, because any act helps. In addition to this, Crittall’s sign up rate increased the Dementia Friends network into the next 1000.

However, this is still not enough. We are encouraging other company’s to get into contact with their local Dementia Friends Champion and host a workshop.
