Priti Patel, the Exchequer Secretary to the Treasury and the Conservative Party Parliamentary Candidate for Witham, has visited Crittall Windows’ manufacturing facility and head office.
Priti, a regular visitor to Crittall, said: “Crittall Windows is a great Witham-based business, who produce excellent products and employ local people. The business is expanding and I am delighted to see their continued commitment to investing and creating jobs in the town.”
“The success of the Conservative Party’s long term economic plan has meant that Essex and Britain is open for business and the right economic foundations are in place to support Crittall and other firms to expand and export.”
John Pyatt, Managing Director of Crittall Windows Ltd, said he was delighted to welcome Priti Patel once again to the company’s Witham head office and factory. “Priti has always been extremely supportive of Crittall since she became our MP five years ago.” he said.
“She has a real understanding of the challenges that we as a business deal with on a day to day basis and we’ve always found that very refreshing and very helpful ”
“Her latest visit to Crittall gave her the opportunity to see for herself our recent capital investment in extra staff, advanced CNC production equipment and a £1/4m renewable energy solar energy system. The 1,000 Solar PV panels we have installed will contribute to reducing the overall energy expenditure of the business “.
Priti Patel’s visit comes at a time when the company – one of the world’s leading steel window manufacturers – reports an extremely healthy forward order book both in terms of the home and US export markets.
