Witham-based Crittall Windows put on a special company event to thank the company’s employees for a successful commercial performance last year.

As a token of its appreciation, the company hosted a BBQ over an extended lunch period. The event took place at its in-house manufacturing facilities in Freebournes Road where the company’s steel framed windows, doors and Innervision screens are UK manufactured.

At the event, Mr Ager commented: ‘Last year was a significant period for the business. We had to overcome commercial and operational headwinds including the challenges of the COVID pandemic, high inflation, labour shortages and resource and supply chain issues.

However, thanks to the hard work, diligence and commitment of our workforce collectively we delivered budgeted profit and the business achieved all of the financial targets set by the Board.  This is a superb achievement and we extend our sincere thanks to every member of our strong team for their valued contribution’.

Mr Ager also shared with the workforce the Crittall Board’s strategic vision which features the principal objective to create a sustainable business model through investing in the newest technology, developing new products and moving into new markets.  He said ‘During the year, we invested in two new CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining centres, taking the total to five, and this will increase output, productivity and efficiency.  Many of the tasks required to achieve our business aims have already been met or are underway’.
