Crittall House of the Year Award Runner Up 1

Congratulations to the first runner up of the Crittall House of the Year Award on this amazing project

The aim of the project was to lighten the dark and gloomy interior of this 1930s house to make the most of the stunning external garden and views.

Extensive remodelling was carried out with an extension to allow the house rooms to flow and enable a more open plan internal design.

The house had original Crittall windows and the family wanted to stay sympathetic to the period of the original house but bring it up-to-date with larger W20 doors and panes in

the open plan kitchen / dining area.

Having been recommended Crittall Specialist Partner, Lightfoot Windows Kent, who had carried out a similar renovation, the family opted to stay with the same colour throughout (RAL9005) with a mixture of modern and traditional design to suit the character of the house.

The project was installed in collaboration with Burgess Architects.
