Crittall Windows, the UK’s leading manufacturer of steel windows and doors, has been shortlisted for two categories at this year’s prestigious G-Awards, recognising excellence across the UK glass and glazing industry.
Founded in 1849, Crittall is one of Britain’s most iconic architectural brands, with a heritage built on innovation, craftsmanship and design integrity. The company’s dual nominations for Best Business Initiative of the Year and New Product of the Year reflect its continued leadership in manufacturing transformation and product development.
The Best Business Initiative of the Year entry honours a £1.3 million investment in new technology, bespoke software and streamlined manufacturing principles that have reduced lead times by 25 per cent and energy use by 10 per cent. Working in partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd and the Manufacturing Technology Centre, Crittall has embedded sustainability, efficiency and quality throughout its operations while preserving its hallmark craftsmanship.
In the New Product of the Year category, the company’s W20 TE system has been recognised for delivering exceptional thermal performance without compromising the elegant proportions of its original hot rolled steel design. Achieving a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K, the W20 TE combines recycled steel, dual weather seals and long-term durability to meet modern performance standards while maintaining architectural authenticity.
Russell Ager, Managing Director of Crittall Windows, said: “To be shortlisted for two awards in such highly competitive categories is a real honour. It reflects the dedication and expertise of our entire team, who continue to innovate while respecting the legacy that makes Crittall unique. These nominations recognise a company-wide commitment to excellence and progress.”
The 2025 G-Awards ceremony will take place on Friday 28 November at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
