Set in the heart of London’s West End, Ham Yard hotel creates a new urban village in the heart of the city. Alongside 91 guest bedrooms, the hotel incorporates 24 new apartments, shops, bars and restaurants, a movie theatre and bowling alley.

Firmdale tasked architect Woods and Bagot to pursue a design approach that seeks to bring the outdoors inside and turn the indoors outside. Floor to ceiling Crittall doors open up the restaurant to the hotels outdoor terrace and full height.  “When I go into any room, I go to the window first” says Kemp. “We want people to be able to sit on a window seat, look out and watch the world go by”.

“Abundant natural light is the starting point for each individually designed Firmdale bedroom”, says Kemp. Floor-to-ceiling Crittall windows have certainly become a hallmark of the company’ new hotels. Above all, the combination of slenderness and strength allows for unobscured glazing.

Crittall screens have a subtle presence, but a strong timeless character. The custom made glazed walls and doors are highly versatile. Sitting comfortably in residential or commercial settings, the products enclose bathrooms and kitchens and add design options to open plan spaces. The unequalled site to strength ratio of steel glazing bars, makes Crittall screens the go to product for Firmdale Hotels.
