Congratulations to our Crittall House of the Year Award 2021 runners up.

The aim of this fabulous 1930’s home remodelling and extension was to lighten the rather dark and gloomy interior to make the most of the stunning external garden and views.  Extensive renovation was carried out in the 1980s leaving an unattractive central courtyard of wasted space which was filled in to allow the house rooms to flow and enable a more open-plan internal design.

The house had original Crittall windows and the owners wished to stay sympathetic to the period of the original house but bring it up-to-date with larger Corporate W20 doors and windows in the open plan kitchen/dining area.

Knowing that Crittall were still manufacturing windows and doors and keeping with the original colour, they engaged Crittall Specialist Partner, Lightfoot Windows (Kent) following a recommendation by a friend.
